Detailed Itinerary: 4 Stages on Horseback from Santiago to the End of the World

Horseback Camino de Santiago to Finisterre

On our arrival day, we will gather all participants in Santiago de Compostela, where we will spend the first night. From the agreed meeting point, we will transfer to the accommodations where we will have dinner, hold a brief informative meeting, and rest before beginning our pilgrimage to Cape Finisterre.
The Camino de Finisterre is completed in four days, during which we will pass through places such as Negreira, Olveiroa, or Muxía, before reaching the end of the world.

Santiago de Compostela – Negreira

We will begin our pilgrimage in the iconic Praza do Obradoiro in Santiago de Compostela, covering the 22 kilometers that take us through places like Moas de Abaixo, Carballal, Quintáns, Ventosa, Lombao, or Augapesada, leading us to Negreira, the end of the first stage.

We will have the opportunity to visit the village of Ponte Maceira with our horses—a place of great beauty and interest, home to its impressive 14th-century Gothic bridge with three arches.

Negreira – Olveiroa

After visiting the Pazo de Cotón and the Romanesque churches of San Pedro de Gonte and San Esteban de Landeira, we will leave Negreira heading toward Zas, in the heart of the Xallas region.

We will finish the stage in the village of Olveiroa, from where we can admire the Embalse da Fervenza reservoir.

Olveiroa – Corcubión

During this stage, we will pass through the towns of O Logoso, Hospital, Dumbría, Castro, and Cee before finally arriving in Corcubión, where we can enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Corcubión – Cape Finisterre

Upon arriving in Finisterre, the pilgrim must perform a series of purifying rituals to cleanse the soul and shed the burden of the material world at the end of the Camino.

At the end of our pilgrimage, we will visit the Cape Finisterre Lighthouse, fulfilling our goal of reaching the beaches of the end of the world with our horses.
